Safety upgrades including line marking, installation of new guard rails, signage and vehicle activated signs have been completed along this stretch of the Central Coast Highway.
The $2.4 million NSW government funded safety works were completed between Point Clare and the West Gosford Lookout on Kariong Hill, under the Safer Roads Program.
“Safety is our number one priority on all NSW roads and the work completed on the Central Coast Highway reflects our commitment to making much-needed improvements wherever they are needed,” said Regional Roads and Transport Minister Jenny Aitchison.
“This upgrade will provide a stronger and safer road network for the 37,000 motorists who use this section of road each day.”
Minister for the Central Coast David Harris added: “This improvement work will make a big difference helping to reduce crashes and that’s going to help motorists not only be safer but feel safer while driving on this busy section of road.”
Works were started by Transport for NSW (TfNSW) in February 2024 and completed in June.
