Trailer builder, AAA Trailers, joined one of Western Australia’s biggest farm machinery events last month.
The 2024 Dowerin Field Days were held 28-29 August 2024.
The early Dowerin Field Days events saw the Dowerin community unite in support of fundraising for local sporting facilities during the 1960s and it has since grown over the years to celebrate farming and state-of-the-art agriculture technology.
Dowerin Field Days Chairman, Josh Ward, thanked the people of Dowerin for their commitment and service.
“Collectively over the decades we have built an iconic event that is agriculture’s big days out,” he said. “As we celebrate 60 years of the Dowerin Machinery Field Days with a focus on the future of farming, it would be impossible to do so without also considering the future of our farming families and communities.”
Danielle Green, Dowerin Machinery Field Days General Manager, addressed 700 attendees at an annual lunch in Perth earlier this year for a conversation about the future of machinery, farming and the Wheatbelt.
She acknowledged six decades of partnerships between farmers, businesses, suppliers and the agriculture industry.
“As technology advanced, so has machinery,” she said.
“Today’s farm machinery combines advanced engineering and sophisticated ag technology to drive efficiency and productivity to levels even thought to be unachievable.
“This combination of design and technology and modern farming management practices has allowed our farmers to improve their resilience and better manage the risks that come with running complex farming operations and remain competitive in a globalised world that demands more grain from every hectare.”
In other news, the move to a new location in Ingleburn, New South Wales, marks a significant chapter in the AAA Trailers story.
