The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has opened nominations for the 2025 National Trucking Industry Awards, with the prizes on offer including cash and a trip to the US.
Nominations are open for the Outstanding Contribution to the Australian Trucking Industry Award, sponsored by bp, National Transport Insurance and Volvo Trucks, while you can now nominate people for the National Professional Driver of the Year Award.
The National Trucking Industry Woman of the Year Award, sponsored by Cummins South Pacific, is also open for nominations.
The winners will be announced at the ATA Foundation Sponsors Gala Awards Dinner in Adelaide on April 30 as part of Trucking Australia 25. The winners of the TruckSafe John Kelly Memorial Award and Don Watson Memorial Award will also be announced on the night.
Nominations close at 11pm Canberra time on February 28.
As well, nominations are open for elected owner driver and small representative positions on its general council. Owner driver and small fleet representatives can now attend and vote at ATA council meetings held about four times a year, with the ATA meeting their accommodation and travel expenses.
The representatives can also join in the work of the ATA’s policy working groups over video conference. A member of an ATA member association who operates one truck and drives it, or two to five trucks, can nominate as a candidate now via this link.
Even if you’re not in an ATA member association, you can register to vote in the election here, with nominations and voter registrations closing 5pm Canberra time on February 21.
