AusPost announces new retail boss

Australia Post has confirmed the appointment of a former ANZ Bank and McDonald’s Corporation senior executive as its new Executive General Manager of Retail.

Catriona Noble will report to Group Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director Paul Graham while overseeing the organisation’s network of 4,320 Post Offices.

Noble spent 31 years with the McDonald’s Corporation, where she helped expand the restaurant chain throughout the region, with a focus on product development, customer advocacy and collaborating closely with franchisees.

She worked her way through all facets of the business and served as the CEO of McDonald’s Australia from 2010 to 2014.

At ANZ, she drove the transformation of the bank’s Retail Division while reshaping the footprint of the bank’s branch network.

Australia Post Group Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director Paul Graham said Noble’s appointment reflected the vital role the Post Office network plays at Australia Post.

“Over the past two years, we have seen how important our Post Office network has been in helping small businesses, connecting communities and building resilience,” he said.

“Our Licensed Post Offices as well as our Corporate Post Offices provide essential services for mail, parcels, financial services plus an expanding range of other services for the community,” said Graham.

“With her extensive customer experience working at McDonald’s Corporation and ANZ Bank, Catriona has the right skills, personality and energy to grow and evolve our Post Office network.”

Noble’s appointment is the latest in a number of recent executive-level appointments at Australia Post.

In January, Leonie Valentine commences as the Executive General Manager Customer Experience and Digital and in December Tanny Mangos joined as Executive General Manager of Community, Sustainability and Stakeholder Engagement.

The appointments, according to a statement issued by Australia Post, reflect Graham’s commitment to ensuring Australia Post is delivering for its stakeholders and is well placed with the right skills and strategy to ensure Australia Post is able to fully meet customers’ expectations now and into the future.
