Australian Dangerous Good Code in review

Submissions for the first series of working group papers for a review of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code (ADG Code) close next month according to the National Transport Commission.

This work aims to develop a world standard ADG Code with a focus on the transport of dangerous goods by road and rail.

“We’re working with stakeholders to undertake a full review of the ADG Code and are seeking feedback on the first two discussion papers developed by experts in our working group,” the National Transport Commission said in a statement.

“These papers are part of a series of topic-specific discussion papers.

“Opportunities to comment on other provisions in the code will be provided over the next 12 months.”

Despite significant updates to the ADG Code every two years, this will be the first full review since the seventh edition was released in 2007.
