Changed traffic conditions at Cunninghams Gap

There will be changed traffic conditions in place over coming weeks on the Cunningham Highway at Cunninghams Gap, Tregony, to allow for bulk excavation works to take place.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has advised that nightly stop/slow traffic conditions will be in place between the hours of 6pm to 6am the following day on:

Sunday February 23 until Friday February 28, 2025; and
Sunday March 2 until Friday March 7, 2025.

For OSOM vehicles:

The maximum Oversize Overmass (OSOM) vehicle dimensions permitted to pass through the site will be:

Max. vehicle width: 4.5m (ground contact)
Max. load width: 7.5m (load must clear 1.2m above ground)
Max. length: 60m (including block trucks)

A reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place with traffic control onsite.

TMR advises that during these periods alternative routes should be planned accordingly:

Operators planning to travel through the site during this period will need to contact the project team via email (traffic.cunninghamsgap@mcilwain.com), five business days prior to the planned travel date.
Operators can contact the Site Supervisor Craig on 0404 489 987, 2 hours prior to arrival on-site on the night of travel.
Operators must contact the project’s traffic control on UHF CH40 when approaching the site and stop and hold in designated OSOM holding bays until released by traffic control.
