Charlton heavy vehicle facility to close for maintenance

Truckies are being asked to find “alternative arrangements”, or use a different facility when the Nass Road heavy vehicle decoupling facility at Charlton, Queensland, is shut for a week next month.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) said the site will close from June 3-10 to allow for the road surface to be resealed, and to undertake road repairs and line-marking.

“During this time no vehicles will be able to access or use the site,” said the TMR’s heavy vehicles unit.

All vehicles and trailers also must be removed from the facility before the work begins on June 3, TMR added.

“Please make alternative arrangements or use a different facility to decouple and store vehicles and trailers during this week.”
