Australian owned and operated, the Coho Group is a leading force in complete fluid management and land spraying.
The business was started in 2012 and has hubs based in Roma and Miles.
Coho works in the oil and gas sector, mostly in south west and central Queensland, the Northern Territory and New South Wales.
Its fleet is quite unique, as it operates the largest custom fleet of vacuum trucks in Australia. In fact, Coho pioneered oilfield vac trucks that are perfectly suited to the task at hand – reducing the number of vac trucks needed and getting the job done faster.
Though its operations are varied, most of the work at Coho revolves around trucking.
This includes heavy vehicle support for workover, flush-by, completion, drilling rigs, and frac spreads.
Due to its continued growth, Coho is currently looking for people to join its team in Roma, with ongoing work available, and full training and upskilling available.
Coho offers family friendly rosters and understands the importance of being able to strike a work/life balance.

“Before I joined Coho I had been working as an interstate driver – and I was wanting to get into the oil and gas field,” he said. “They provided on-the-job training and that whole time you had someone with you. For anyone who wasn’t confident and needed help in certain areas, they offer additional training.
“At Coho they make sure all their drivers are ready before sending them out on their own,” he explained.
Coho currently operates a fleet of almost 70 trucks and employs close to 200 drivers. As Jayden can attest, Coho’s staff are always very well looked after.
“Coho really looks after its drivers too. Living in camp, all meals and laundry are done for you. The camps also have a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home and comfortable.
“Most of the routes are close by, so drivers would be lucky to do 10 hours of driving in a day.”

For those considering joining Coho, Jayden encourages them to give it a go. “Don’t be scared if you don’t have the experience. I have HR drivers in my department who came in without any experience and we trained them up. It’s hard to get young people into this industry, so if people come in with a good work ethic and the right attitude, we’ll put in the time to train them up,” he explained.
“When I first started out driving, I found it hard to get a foot in the door because I didn’t have the experience, so I know what that can be like.
“In my department, I’ve had a few young guys come in and get trained up and they’ve turned out to be such fantastic workers.”
