The move marks a major milestone for the Melbourne-based company, reinforcing its commitment to servicing transport operators across Queensland and the eastern seaboard.
Located at 7 Westgate Street, Wacol, the new facility boasts a premium workshop, dedicated display area, and a fully equipped after sales spare parts warehouse – dramatically enhancing Custom Air Group’s logistics and service capabilities throughout the region.

Innovation in sleeper cabin comfort
With more than 33 years of industry experience, Custom Air Group is renowned for designing, engineering and manufacturing high-performance sleeper cabin air conditioning systems and sleeper cabin fit outs. The flagship SleepAir system – powered by a fuel-efficient Kubota OC-60 diesel engine – offers optimal cooling with low fuel use and minimal noise, making it the preferred fatigue management solution for interstate drivers.
In late 2024, the company unveiled its Signature Series range of products and designs, delivering premium sleeper cabin customisation options. The new product range integrates advanced features like Redarc superior power products, Google Integrated smart TVs, 23 litre microwaves and the new 60/70-inch sleeper cabinetry designs.
Our latest tech upgrade incorporates a 5-inch LCD touchscreen, cabin control interface allowing drivers seamless access to cooling/heating climate control, lighting, entertainment, and power systems – with the added benefit of Bluetooth connectivity, all controllable via an Apple or Android smartphone.
“You can remotely or locally control the entire system – from start/stop, climate temperature control to your tv, microwave or inverter – and even monitor system diagnostics, all without the use of specialised tooling. It’s truly the next generation for driver comfort and tech advancement,” added Justin.
All systems are Australian designed and manufactured in-house at Custom Air Group’s Melbourne headquarters, ensuring unmatched quality and performance.
A strategic shift in Queensland
With strong customer demand in Queensland, Custom Air Group has moved away from a distributor model and now operates the Wacol site as Custom Air Queensland, led by their General Manager Kurt Dorant and his experienced technical team, consisting of 16 technicians.
“Queensland represents as many installations as we handle in Melbourne. Having our own branded facility here lets us provide faster installations and after sales service, more efficient spare parts and technical support, coupled with deeper customer relationships,” added Justin.
