The team from Dayco’s Wagga Wagga manufacturing plant in NSW has again made its annual drop-off to the local Ronald McDonald House.
Each year, Dayco Wagga Wagga assembles a number of charity boxes, gathering non-perishable food, toys and assorted goods leading into the festive season.
Like all Ronald McDonald Houses across the country, this facility is made available for families with children undergoing care in Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and Calvary Riverina Private Hospital.
The Wagga Wagga facility provides a comfortable place for families to stay along with caring and well-trained staff.
Being in a regional area, some families are bringing their children long distances for highly specialised treatments and operations.
This makes these facilities even more important as they provide families with the peace of mind of knowing that they can be close to their children’s hospital during times of preparation, treatment and recovery.
According to Dayco Wagga Wagga Plant Manager, Paul Morphett, the entire Dayco team got behind this year’s Ronald McDonald House charity box run on October 15.
“We are a close-knit community here and we appreciate the great work that Ronald McDonald House does in supporting regional families. They help thousands of families each year, which is a remarkable effort,” Morphett said.
“All of us at Dayco are proud to support Ronald McDonald House locally just as our company has done in Melbourne for many years, these facilities are essential to keeping families together during very difficult times.”
One of the world’s leading manufacturers of engine components and drive systems for the automotive, Dayco also supports Ronald McDonald House in Melbourne where the company sponsors two family rooms.
