Dealership group welcomes 60 apprentices

Velocity Truck Centres Australia has welcomed 60 new apprentice technicians for 2025.

The group currently employs over 1000 people across around 20 dealerships, which are located across the country – selling Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner and Fuso trucks. The majority of locations are situated in Victoria and New South Wales, along with having a presence in Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland.

In January, an induction day for the new recruits was held at Velocity Truck Centres Australia Head Office.

“This marks the beginning of an exciting journey for these talented individuals as they embark on their careers in the dynamic world of commercial vehicles,” the company said.

Velocity Truck Centres President, Richard Higgins, was joined by members of the Executive and Senior Leadership Team, including Bill Holland (VP – Aftersales), Sam Murrell Baker (HR/HSE Director), and Dana McMahon (Head of Health, Safety & Environment), to share key details about the program, highlighting the company’s core values of speed, value and trust.

“We’re incredibly proud to invest in the future of our industry, and we look forward to seeing our apprentices grow into skilled technicians and leaders in the years to come,” the company added.
