Donated Sitrak helps raise $1.2 million at first Get Yourself Checked gala

The final donations have been tallied from the first fundraising night for the Get Yourself Checked charity with organisers reporting a healthy $1.2 million raised for prostate cancer awareness and early detection.

The star of the October show in Brisbane was a donated Sitrak C9H 660hp prime mover from City Fleet Sitrak which went to the winning bid of Vision Freight Systems.

City Fleet Sitrak said the prime mover donation to the charity launched by Followmont Transport boss Mark Tobin and best mate Brett Hanly earlier this year is just beginning of its plans to support men’s health awareness campaigns and other initiatives that strengthen Australia’s trucking community.

Future plans include:

Expanding community partnerships within the transport sector.
Supporting events that promote driver wellbeing and safety.
Continuing to raise awareness through its national marketing network and customer events.

“We’ll keep driving the message – on and off the road – because the wellbeing of our people and customers comes first,” said City Fleet CEO Wade Moran.

Brisbane-based City Fleet Sitrak also thanked Kentweld Bullbards – AJ’s Total Truck Gear for its donation of a bullbar fitted to the C9H.

This contribution marked both the company’s 50th anniversary and a milestone in the ongoing commitment to the transport industry, said City Fleet.

“For half a century, AJ’s Kentweld has built its reputation on quality, safety and durability – values that align perfectly with the spirit of the Get Yourself Checked campaign.”

Meanwhile, Tobin and Hanly are celebrating the arrival of Get Yourself Check-branded curtains on Followmont’s new Sitrak G5 Rigid which will spreading the message through the streets of Brisbane.

“Helping us drive an important cause forward by raising awareness, sparking conversations and reminding men to take charge of their health and get checked,” the charity said on a recent Facebook post.
