The Gold Coast Truck Show is back this weekend, and organisers are looking forward to a great turnout.
Held at Mudgeeraba Showgrounds in Worongary, Queensland, the gates will open for exhibitors at 6.30am on Sunday September 29, with the public welcome from 7am.
The event is open to cars and bikes as well as trucks, with no pre-registration necessary.
Event co-ordinator Kathryn Franklin told Big Rigs: “There’ll be lots to see and do – something for everyone!”
“We’re expecting a lot of trucks, we’ve had plenty of interest on our socials so far.
“There’ll also be kids’ rides, food trucks, trade industry stalls, and a bar.
“A local band, Phoenix Rising, will be playing on the main stage so you can sit under the big tree and listen to them.”
Public entry is from $20-$35, with kids under 12 free with a paying adult. General admission tickets are available via Eventbrite.
Truck entry is $25 and trucks are asked to pay and enter at Gate 3, at the back of Mudgeeraba Showgrounds on Worongary Road.
“$25 gets you and your truck in, and one passenger,” Franklin added.
Awards for the truck section will be handed out at 1pm, with trophies up for grabs across 13 categories including:
Best Kenworth
Best Western Star
Best European
Best Peterbilt
Best International
Best Ford
Best Mack
Best Towie
Best Tipper
Best Paint
Best Graphics
Best Bling
Truck of the Show
Why not make a weekend out of it and also head along to Saturday’s “Retro Family Day”, which will feature monster trucks, an FMX stunt crew, fireworks, and much more.
