Isuzu adds limited release Urban to Freightpack offering

Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) is offering a limited-release, 10-pallet curtain-sided Urban variant in the Freightpack line-up.

It will be exclusively available between 1 January and 31 March 2021.

Urban is built on the rugged FRR 107-210 long wheelbase chassis, featuring a 10,700kg Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) and Isuzu’s six-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).

The body features pallet-width, load-restraining and interlocking side gates that can be speedily removed into and out of position for forklifts to access the interior.

To further secure loads, load restraint ratchets for each pallet are conveniently situated on the passenger-side rope rail.

Powering the Urban is Isuzu’s 4HK1 diesel engine which sports a power rating of 210hp and dispenses an impressive 726Nm of torque thanks to a two-stage turbo-charging system.

For inner-city driving, the Freightpack Urban’s cornering lamps and large electric mirrors ensure high visibility, while an ECE-R29 crash rated cab and dual air bags are standard safety inclusions.

Other standard features on the Freightpack Urban include Isuzu Electronic Stability Control (IESC); Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Hill Start Aid (HSA); yellow safety grab handles; reversing camera; truck specific satellite navigation; 6.2-inch touchscreen multimedia AV unit with DAB+; fully adjustable ISRI 6860/875 air suspended driver’s seat; three-year bumper-to-bumper warranty (truck and body).

Isuzu Australia Limited National Sales Manager, Les Spaltman, said the Freightpack Urban campaign was aimed at helping businesses get a leg ahead in the new year.

“In consultation with industry and with the popularity of our medium-duty Freightpack range pointing the way, we knew there was demand at the lighter end of the freight and logistics market,” said Spaltman.

“In the current last-mile delivery boom, operators need a truck that doesn’t skip on payload capacity or useful features – at an affordable price.”
