Iveco celebrates decade-best sales result

With the release of the full Truck Industry Council sales data for 2024, Iveco is now celebrating its best heavy duty truck sales result this decade, and its highest since 2019.

This was built off the back of high sales of the Iveco S-Way, which saw an overall 20.8 per cent increase in heavy duty sales from last year. Iveco says this is due to the broad appeal of the model from owner drivers to medium to large fleets. More model variants will continue to be added to the range across 2025.

Iveco says the reintroduction of Acco models to the line-up saw a steady adoption of the latest generation models, which Iveco says it expects to increase in 2025.

While not quite setting the same records as the heavy duty sector, Iveco also flourished in the light truck realm, with the Daily Cab Chassis continuing to increase in sales.

The Iveco Daily has increased its market foothold.

Iveco says it is Australia’s “most popular European manufactured light truck”, finishing 2023 with a market share of 9.38 per cent, having sold a total of 1353 models. This was 154 more than 2023.

The OEM says it believes that the Daily now offers a viable alternative to other popular vehicles in the light duty sector.

Overall, across all segments, Iveco’s volume grew by 13.7 per cent or 284 units in 2024 for total volume of 2357 units for a market share of 4.88 per cent.
