Last chance to register for State Conference 2024

With less than a week until State Conference 2024, the Victorian Transport Association (VTA) is encouraging those planning on attending to register as soon as possible.

Among the presenters confirmed to address delegates this year are freight ministers and their opposition shadows, senior representatives from road, safety and freight authorities, infrastructure bodies and supplier representatives.

These include:

WA Labor Senator and Senate Rural Regional Affairs and Transport Legislation Committee Chair, Glenn Sterle;
Victorian Roads and Road Safety and Ports and Freight Minister, Melissa Horne;
Shadow Victorian Treasurer, Brad Rowswell;
Australian Signals Directorate First Assistant Director-General, Dr Derek Bopping;
National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) CEO, Sal Petroccitto;
National Transport Commission (NTC) CEO, Michael Hopkins;
Industry Skills Australia CEO, Paul Walsh; and
National Road Transport Association (NatRoad) CEO, Warren Clarke.

VTA CEO, Peter Anderson, is encouraging operators, suppliers and the younger and “next generation of industry leaders” to attend.

“For those that have left registering to the last minute, now is the time to book,” he said.

“We’ve had a fantastic response to the Conference this year with almost 200 delegates already registered.

“In the challenging trading environment and at a time when transport operators and suppliers are busier than ever, this is a terrific outcome.”

State Conference 2024 will be held from Sunday 17 to Tuesday 19 March at Silverwater Resort, Phillip Island.
