MEGATRANS off to a great start with displays, live demos and more

There was a buzz in the air at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre today as MEGATRANS 2024 got off to a great start.

Leaders from across the supply chain came together to discuss the future of the logistics industry, with over 100 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge technologies and services for the supply chain, from vehicle telematics and fleet management software to warehousing solutions.

Attendees enjoyed interactive displays, live demonstrations, and the opportunity to speak with experts in their respective fields.

“The conference stage has been packed all day, which has been really pleasing,” said Siobhan Rocks, GM of Events with expo organisers Prime Creative Media.

“A lot of work has gone into curating a program of speakers that are really relevant for the audience, and all of our exhibitors are overwhelmingly happy.

“We are thrilled with how Day One is going – it’s everything we could have asked for.”

Exhibitors included leading IoT, telematics and technology provider WHG, who were showcasing some of their exciting technologies alongside their distribution partner, RPM Group.

Devin Beattie, Business Development Manager of Partner and Reseller Channels at WHG, said: ‘In particular, we want to showcase a groundbreaking new product that we’ve launched, which is FleetPredict.

“Using a Garmin wearable watch, it predicts fatigue in truck drivers.

“Uptake has been great so far. The telematics industry is very saturated, so this is definitely going to help differentiate us in the market.”

He was impressed with what MEGATRANS had to offer.

“There has been great attendance, a lot of interesting exhibitors, and great collaboration within the industry, which is nice to see,” he said.

“We got some good leads and there’s a strong emphasis on sustainability, which is great.”

MEGATRANS continues tomorrow from 9.30am to 4pm, with free entry.

Registration is available on the MEGATRANS website or at the door, with Siobhan adding: “We expect another great day of content, as well as the opportunity to meet with some amazing exhibitors who can’t wait to meet you!”
