Merger to create industry leading hub of expertise

Two firms will join forces to drive efficiencies for those requiring forensic engineering services.

Effective 1 August 2021, Advanced Technology Testing and Research (ATTAR), is expected to merge with Hartwood Consulting.

Both companies will continue to operate with their respective trading names and facilities.

ATTAR founded in 1986 and was established to conduct materials testing and research as well as provide Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) training to Australian industry.

The merger will enable ATTAR to offer new capabilities in addition to material failure analysis, forensic engineering, materials and mechanical testing, expert witness services, compliance testing, condition monitoring, training and examination.

“The merger of both ATTAR and Hartwood Consulting is expected to add value to customers seeking an industry leading, independent, end to end engineering solution,” ATTAR said in a statement.

“We look forward to sharing our combined expertise and supporting customers in solving various industry challenges.”

Dr Peter Hart of ARTSA established Hartwood Consulting in 1996.
