The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator has warned truck drivers of access changes for certain heavy vehicles due to planned closures on the M7 Motorway at Cecil Park, NSW.
The Northbound closure dates are August 12-14, with contingency dates of August 22 and August 26.
The Southbound closure dates are August 15 and August 19-21, with contingency dates of August 27-29.
The detour for the closures is via The Horsley Drive, Cowpasture and Wallgrove Roads, Cecil Park and is applicable to Performance Based Standards (PBS) Level 2A and 2B vehicles that have a current heavy vehicle access permit with route specific access that includes the section of the M7 Motorway that is impacted by this closure.
Other restricted access heavy vehicles operating under a heavy vehicle access permit must not travel off the approved route listed in their permit. An updated permit must be obtained from the NHVR.
“Operators are responsible for ensuring the relevant third-party approvals are obtained for the alternate route prior to travel (if applicable),” the NHVR said.
“The use of the detour and the variation is only applicable during the planned period of the closure on the M7 Motorway.”
