South Australia-based freight company Northline has moved into its new $16 million national service centre at Kent Town in Adelaide’s inner eastern suburbs.
The move will allow for the company’s further expansion, including adding up to 30 new staff across the board nationally.
The expansion leverages Northline’s strong international growth in recent years, adding more than 560 partners across over 130 countries to enhance their capacity for meeting customer supply chain needs globally.
Northline’s Chief Executive Officer Craige Whitton says the expansion marks a new chapter for the company.
“Our international business has increased by 70 per cent in the last 12 months, and the need to enhance our capabilities across IT and logistics has never been stronger,” explained Craige.
“This growth and our relocation to a new, custom designed service centre allows us to invest in the right people and technologies to strengthen our position in the market.”
Located at 68 King William Street, Kent Town, the new $16 million national service centre will accommodate the national customer service team, as well as administration support for the company’s freight management, warehousing, distribution, and logistics divisions.
“We were founded here in South Australia – it is an important part of our history and our identity,” Craige added.
“This relocation reflects our ongoing commitment to both our customers and the South Australian community, and we’re excited to contribute to further job growth and economic development in the state.”
