The Victorian Transport Association (VTA) has announced Australian Olympian, Kitty Chiller, as its featured speaker for the 2023 Annual Women’s Lunch.
The Annual Women’s Lunch is being held from 12.30pm-3.30pm on Friday 14 April at Showtime Events in South Wharf, Victoria.
Chiller represented Australia in the modern pentathlon at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, she was a national champion on 12 occasions and was also a winner of seven World Cup medals.
After transitioning to media officer, coach and manager positions, Chiller was appointed as the first female Chef de Mission for the Australian Olympic Team at the 2016 Rio Games.
VTA CEO, Peter Anderson, said it was a privilege to confirm Kitty’s attendance for the event.
“We are thrilled to have someone as qualified and capable as Kitty Chiller to address our Annual Women’s Lunch, which is held to advance the important conversations about how we can better support women in transport, and in so doing attract and retain women to our industry,” he said.
“The Lunch is always one of the VTA’s most popular events and is a key part of our objective of attracting more women to the transport industry by advancing conversations and action to support women that are interested in careers in freight and logistics.”
