Orange feeder road project making strides

The next stage of a 10-year southern feeder road project in the city of Orange, New South Wales, is about to begin.

The latest $14.7 million phase will see the project taken west from Anson Street to Shiralee Road.

“Creating the transport infrastructure that a growing city needs has been a priority for this council and we’re now delivering the next stage,” said Orange Mayor, Jason Hamling, adding that the project is funded by all three levels of government. “The key role of the southern feeder road is to build new transport connections with our health precinct and the Leewood industrial area, but there’ll also be benefits for new housing development areas.”

The work is expected to take 12 months.

In other news, Road Freight NSW has welcomed the recently elected Minns government’s ministerial appointments and is buoyed by their quick delivery of key election demands.
