Rentco has announced the appointment of its new Head of Leasing and Zero Emissions Transport, Richard Bain.
Bain officially joined the team on 19 August, marking a significant milestone for Rentco’s business as it continues to strive in innovative transport solutions.
According to Rentco, Bain brings an impressive track record having spent the last nine years in the industry as a National Portfolio Services Manager.
His experience spans sales, business development, portfolio risk management, operations management and customer service.
With a robust academic background that includes an MBA, a Master of Analytics Management, CPA accreditation and a Bachelor of Commerce, Rentco claims Bain is well-equipped to drive the company’s growth in new and exciting directions.
“Richard is the ideal leader to spearhead this next chapter in our journey,” the company said in a statement online.
“His approach aligns perfectly with Rentco’s values and our commitment to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions to our clients.”
Rentco CEO, Bob Shier, shared his excitement about Bain’s appointment.
“We are extremely fortunate to have Richard join our team,” he said.
“His expertise and vision will be instrumental in expanding our capabilities, particularly in the rapidly growing zero-emissions sector.
“With the recent introduction of 12 electric terminal tractors, Rentco has already taken significant strides towards a decarbonised future. Richard’s background, leadership and direction will be key in building on this momentum and exploring untapped markets.”
In addition to advancing Rentco’s zero-emissions initiatives, Bain will also be responsible for launching and growing Rentco’s leasing division.
This new venture will complement Rentco’s existing offerings and provide its clients with even more flexible and sustainable solutions.
“This is a very exciting time for Rentco and for the transport industry in Australia,” Bain said.
“As we transition to more sustainable forms of transport, we will need to enhance our sales and service strategies to integrate these new technologies, as well as ensure we are training enough technicians conversant with battery electric and hybrid systems.”
