A new Chief Corporate Development Officer has been named at Silk Contract Logistics it was announced earlier today.
Paul Spottiswood was appointed in the role to lead Silk’s newly created Corporate Development team, which will be responsible for accelerating the growth of Silk Logistics Holdings Limited through strategic acquisitions.
Joining Spottiswood in the Corporate Development team is Michelle Cao as General Manager — Corporate Development and Alan MacConnell, Integrations Manager.
The Corporate Development team will also lead acquisition finance, integration of acquisitions, equity market intelligence and investor relations.
The announcement comes hot on the heels of Silk Logistics confirming it had purchased Fremantle Freight & Logistics last week.
“Silk Logistics Holdings has a clear mandate for growth and will continue to pursue complementary opportunities in port logistics, warehousing, transport, technology, and property, in Australia and internationally,” the company said in a statement.
Spottiswood, who has a strong and extensive prior relationship with Silk Logistics Holdings, was the corporate adviser for the management buyout of Silk Contract Logistics in 2014.
He also advised Silk Logistics Holdings on several acquisitions and refinancings subsequently.
Prior to relocating with family to Queensland in 2020, Spottiswood was the Chief Financial Officer of Silk Logistics Holdings.
