The Queensland Trucking Association (QTA) has officially launched one of the most anticipated events on the transport calendar — the 2025 QTA Road Freight Industry Awards & Gala Dinner — set to take place at Brisbane’s Royal International Convention Centre on Saturday, September 13.
Heralded as the ultimate night of celebration for Queensland’s road freight industry, the gala promises to bring together leaders from government and industry, fleet owners, suppliers, and professionals from across the sector to recognise and reward the outstanding contributions shaping the future of freight.
Hosted by QTA President Michael Mahon and the QTA Board of Directors, the event will feature a dynamic evening of networking, gourmet dining, live entertainment, and the prestigious industry awards ceremony.
In a special highlight, guests will enjoy an engaging on-stage interview with Queensland’s Minister for Transport and Main Roads, Brent Mickelberg, conducted by well-known emcee Ben ‘Dobbo’ Dobbin.
The gala begins in style with a sunset welcome in the Plaza forecourt, where guests can take in a striking outdoor display of polished prime movers and trailers — a fitting tribute to the industry’s machinery and pride, said the QTA.
The 2025 Road Freight Industry Awards will shine a well-deserved spotlight on the individuals and businesses who demonstrate excellence, innovation, and commitment to the sector. Award categories this year are:
