The Queensland department of Transport and Main Roads has warned drivers that night works will be taking place on the Cunningham Highway at Cunninghams Gap.
Pavement works are being carried out, with a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h in place for the safety of road users and work crews.
The reduced speed limit will kick in today, August 19 and continue until Thursday September 5, from 6pm to 6am, Monday to Friday.
No lane closures are required during these works.
Weather or site conditions can impact works, delaying start and finish schedules.
The recovery works are jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
Reconstruction works on the Cunningham Highway at Cunninghams Gap are part of the Natural Disaster Program for the South Coast Region.

Oversize Overmass (OSOM) heavy vehicle/ combinations must check the Conditions of Operation Database before starting your journey.
From 6pm on Friday September 6 until 5am on Tuesday September 10, intensive construction will continue at Cunninghams Gap.
Oversize-vehicle access will be temporarily closed during this time for construction to occur within the narrow road widths at this section of the Cunningham Highway.
