Truck maker encourages industry to ‘go genuine’

According to Australia’s overall truck market leader, there’s a direct correlation between ensuring trucks are maintained in optimal condition and operational efficiencies that save time and money. Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) said an important aspect of any maintenance strategy – and one that all fleet managers should consider – is the value genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts offer on a number of fronts.

The company stated it is now making the decision to ‘go genuine’ even easier, with an updated and comprehensive selection of genuine, model-specific Isuzu filter and clutch kits – with each pack containing all the necessary parts needed for a regular truck service or clutch replacement – readily available for purchase through its nationwide dealer network.

IAL National Parts Manager, John Plunkett, said the company fully understood that timeliness is key in reducing stress and downtime for its customers.

“Having key components picked and ready to deploy immediately keeps downtime to a minimum for all involved,” said Plunkett.

“This should help workshops to better prepare for scheduled and unplanned service and maintenance.

“Our new kits are a convenient, cost-effective, off-the-shelf option that will save businesses time and money.”

Genuine Isuzu filter kits contain all parts necessary for a regular service including oil filters, fuel filters, sump plug washer, sediment filters and PCV filters (where applicable).

Meanwhile, the new clutch kits comprise 17 critical components – the exact same parts that are used when the trucks are built on the assembly line of Isuzu Motors in Japan – thus maintaining the factory integrity of the vehicles.

IAL contended that in assembling and pre-packaging a specific parts bundle, the potential for waste, error and time delays that come with separately ordering multiple parts is effectively eliminated.

The company also maintained that its genuine parts are stringently tested in a range of conditions, and that all genuine parts and accessories fitted by an IAL-approved dealership or Authorised Service and Parts Outlet (ASPO) are backed by Isuzu’s three-year, unlimited kilometres warranty.

“Like all Isuzu-backed parts, our filter and clutch kits are specifically designed and engineered for Isuzu products, with proven reliability across almost every application imaginable,” said Plunkett.

“When fitted by an authorised Isuzu dealership or ASPO, they also come with our three-year warranty – giving our customers added peace of mind that their trucks are being maintained in line with original specifications and standards.”
