Next week, works to reseal a section of the Golden Highway will take place.
As a result, there will be changed traffic conditions between Gungal to Merriwa, while the works are carried out.
Upper Hunter Shire Council will carry out the work on behalf of Transport for NSW which includes resealing the road and general maintenance to improve safety for all road users.
Work will take place from Monday 10 to Thursday 13 November from 7am to 6pm, and is expected to be completed in four days, weather permitting.
Traffic control, single lane closure, intermittent stoppages of up to 15 minutes, and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place for the duration of the works.
Over size and/or over mass vehicles will be required to call ahead on UHF channel 38 to be escorted through the site.
