Vale Darren Nolan

Transport industry veteran Darren Nolan has sadly passed away, surrounded by loved ones on March 6, 2025.

A cherished member of Nolan’s Interstate Transport, the operator announced the loss across its social media pages over the weekend.

“It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Darren Nolan,” the post says.

“A beloved son and brother who was a cherished family member of Nolan’s Interstate Transport. The contributions he made to our business are immeasurable and his presence will be missed by all who were privileged to work with him.

“Darren was an integral part of our business, and his legacy will remain. His knowledge and passion for compliance and workplace health and safety was second to none.

“Throughout his career, Darren served on several industry boards and was well known and respected throughout the transport industry.”

The South Australian Road Transport Association (SARTA) was one of the initial bodies to pay tribute to Darren and his impact on the Australian transport industry.

“The industry has lost one of its best, Darren Nolan of Nolan’s Interstate Transport, who passed away peacefully on March 6,” SARTA says.

“On behalf of SARTA our members and all in the industry who had the privilege to work with or know Darren, we express our deepest condolences to Darren’s family and work colleagues. He made a significant contribution to the industry and to many people’s lives. One of the nicest and most sincere souls ever to grace this industry.”

Darren will be farewelled on Saturday March 15 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Gatton.
