WA Mack Muster gears up for this weekend

The WA Mack Muster and Truck Show is gearing up for its third edition this Sunday March 24.

Set amongst 200 acres at Quarry Farm, 40 minutes south-east of Perth, the biennial event has already registered over 300 vintage, restored, and brand-new rigs attending.

Over 6000 visitors are also expected to come through between 10am and 4pm on the day, and there’ll be plenty to do for all the family – from food trucks to kids’ activities including a Lego workshop to build your own truck.

Attendees can get up close and personal with everything from customised prime movers to the rare 1988 Bicentennial Mack Superliner – one of only sixteen ever produced.

Some trucks will be open to climb in and take a look, while others will be on display, with owners and drivers on hand to share stories about their prized possessions.

Hear the rigs roar at 10am and 1pm, when all trucks will start their engines and blow their air horns.

The trucks on show will be judged in a variety of award categories, including Truck of the Show, People’s Choice, Best Fleet (min. four trucks), Best Rigid, Best Vintage, Best Japanese truck, Best American truck, Best Farm truck, Best Working truck, Best Tipper, Best Custom truck, Best Cab-Over, Best Bonneted, Best Heavy Recovery and Exceptional Effort, Macks across the decades and the best of each brand.

The awards and prizes will be announced at 3pm on the day.

Steven Bella Donna, chairperson of the Mack Muster committee, said: “If you have a passion for trucks, want to learn about trucks, or just to enjoy a truckin’ good day out on the farm, the WA Mack Muster and Truck Show has something for the whole family.

“It only rolls around every two years so don’t miss this!”
